Carrier Comparison Chart

To help you to choose the type of carrier or sling that might be most suitable for you, we’ve put together a comparison table so that you can compare the features and options of the different types. This table isn’t definitive and there are lots of exceptions; the best way to find out what will suit you best is to pop along to a Sling Library Open Session to try them for yourself!

For more detailed comparisons of specific brands and carriers, Roamy from East Sussex Slings has put together a comprehensive listing of the proportions of a wide range of brands and models here: Carrier Comparison.

*Caution is recommended with certain carrying positions in certain carriers – ask for advice if you’re not sure whether a particular position is suitable for you, your baby or the carrier you’re using. Follow this link to read more about why Outwards Facing Carry Positions are not as suitable or comfortable as inwards facing carry positions.

This looks a really useful table. I wonder if you would be prepared to let our library use it? TY
