If you’d simply like to arrange to collect a carrier to hire, then please click on the link below to go to the Hire Request Form and submit your details. We’ll get back to you with the availability of your preferred carrier and send you an email invoice to make the hire and deposit payment online.

Make the most of your hire with Carrying Advice and Fitting support

Whilst many people will have researched or been recommended a brand and model of carrier that they would like to hire, it’s quite common that this isn’t always the best option to suit their baby, their proportions or family’s needs.

You’ll get more from your hire if you know that you are borrowing the right product for your family; you’ve been shown how to use it correctly, and you know that it fits you and your baby.  If we’ve met you and your baby and had a chance to chat about your needs then we’ll be able to give much more helpful advice and support than if we only give you a carrier and instructions.

To get the practical help and advice to make the most of your hire, book onto one of our advice sessions or workshops.  You can do this before you hire or during your hire.

After you’ve paid your hire fees and deposit

We will reserve a carrier for you for 1 week from payment of your invoice before making it available for others to borrow again.  You may collect your hire during any Hire Collection sessions on our Event Calendar, at other times by appointment, or we can post it to you (out of hours collections and postal hires will incur extra costs).

If the carrier you’d like to hire is currently unavailable, then we’ll get in touch once it’s been returned (we’re not able to guarantee exactly when borrowed carriers will be returned, though it will usually be within 2 weeks), and let you know when you can come and collect it.

During your hire

You can always get in touch by emailing info@southlondonslings.co.uk, or by phoning Emily directly (you’ll get her direct number on your hire paperwork).

While you have the carrier, PLEASE DO contact us to ask any questions that you may have about what you’ve hired or to try to troubleshoot any problems with using it.  We’d much rather iron out any issues while you’ve got the carrier, not after you’ve brought it back! Most of all, try to get as much use out of the carrier as possible so that you get the hang of it and can see how it’d fit into your lifestyle!

After your hire

When your loan period is at an end, please return the carrier and any instructions and accessories by whatever date and method has been agreed.  Assuming everything’s in good order, we’ll return your deposit in full.
